Earlier this morning I received a mail from Thomas Padovani, The CEO of AdCash claiming Ad blocking Companies are mafia. He said Ad blocking companies claim they are the crusaders of a better internet, but they are not. They’re running a mafia-style protection racket, demanding money from companies in order to be white listed.
While ad blocking is really popular among users. More than 40% of users are using ad blocking technology in some niches, and as far as I know, users are happy with those technology. But ad blocking is a big headache for webmasters and publishers.
In his mail, he said:
Adblock sucks. Adblock companies are stealing your revenue and it’s time to stop them. F*** Adblock!
Over the past few years, the people behind adblockers having been passing themselves off as some sort of “crusaders of a better internet”. But they’re not. They’re running a mafia-style protection racket, demanding money from companies in order to be whitelisted.
We’re not going to hand over a cent to them. It stops today! Instead, we’re fighting them with technology and innovation. We’ve built our own adblock countermeasure, called RevSafe, that allows Adcash to bypass adblockers, safeguarding your revenue.
With RevSafe enabled, you will see your revenues increase around 35%, based on our closed testing. To get everything set up, just get in touch with your account manager, they’ll be happy to help.
Together, we can f**k adblock!
This looks like an open challenge to ad blocking services. Adcash is a known ad network and they’re big too but personally I am not a fan of pop ups. Pop up and pop downs provided by adcash is really disgusting, so right now I’m thinking about What would Ad block companies like Ad Block Plus would do to keep their users happy.
